Obama Selects Biden as Running Mate
When I first heard this, I had my doubts. Biden has said some pretty offensive stuff, but as Monica Roberts points out,
While Sen. Biden wasn’t my favorite of the peeps rumored to be in the mix for the VP slot, if it results in victory on November 4, that’s all I care about.

I just don’t see how we can afford to have McCain in the White House. I couldn’t in good conscience vote Green or Independent or any other party on a matter of principle when realistically, Obama losing means McCain winning.

But please. Please tell me that this Scott Ritter guy is exaggerating or something. Please tell me that we didn’t make it easier to use nukes? Because I rather like life.

I’m going to track down more information on that later.
But I think the video makes valid points, even if in a scare-tacticy way.

I’ve constantly had to keep explaining to people that my support for Obama isn’t because I agree with all of his positions. Rather, it’s because I disagree with McCain just about every step of the way. I think it’s sad that Obama had to choose Biden, someone decidedly NOT a Washington outsider, but it’ll hopefully shore up some of the support from people who are so worried about “experience”.

Now would you rather have Barck Obama picking those three justices and flipping a 5-4 conservative majority back to progressive control, or turning a 5-4 deficit unto an 8-1 conservative one for the rest of your lives?
The choice is yours and as far as i see it, it’s a no brainer

It is a no-brainer. I just let some of Biden’s typical white guy quotes cloud my judgement for a few hours. WTF was I thinking?

If anything, it’s a problem with the way you elect a president. I know it sounds like I’m starting a voting-method war, but using some other fairer method might mean less of a “it’s either this guy or that guy” type elections.
